I met the awesomest chick today! She was just one of a kind, I could tell. & I’m glad God had wanted us to meet :) So thanks God! You daaa bomb!
Hello my beautiful followers! Hope y’all have an awesome, restful Sunday! :) I’m off for a long drive to church and then enjoying a picnic. Let’s make some memories, shall we?
“Often we are told the things we do wrong. But it’s up to us to remember the good we have done for people even if they don’t remember. Keep a positive attitude no matter what.”
One of my best guy friends, Jason. We are kind of obsessed with watches.. And we’re both Asians :)
to be honest, i like bothering you. even if we aren’t as close anymore. it just gives me satisfaction knowing i can still push your buttons. AM I A HORRIBLE PERSON?
Okay, so maybe I am afraid of commitment. And in my head, I’ve created this false illusion that I actually do accept it, and that I just haven’t found the right guy. That’s really not the case, ha. It’s not like I enjoy leaving someone or have them leave me after a quick, sweet and short relationship.. But it just happens to turn out like that. Now, I’m faced with this .. interesting person in my life. I really didn’t have the intention to commit to anything, whatsoever. I wanted to be guarded and was okay with observing romance from 350 or so miles away. BUT. BUT. NO. He is very persistent with his feelings for me.. and wants me to acknowledge that I am a “commitment probe” & I should probably begin to learn how to. So I guess I am afraid of commitment.

“Bicycle Chains” - NAK x Azzurro

Mixed and mastered by War Records: http://www.facebook.com/warrecords” Since about a year or two ago, I have become immensely inspired by the flourishing bicycle subculture. It’s beautiful seeing teams of young and alive cyclists collectively mounting upon two-wheeled symbols of a colorfully customized independence.
To me, the ride is much more than just motion. There’s more to any culture than what appears on the surface; it’s naive to think otherwise. Biking is no exception. Rather, I see biking as a wonderful metaphor of how “free” we’ve become and as a representation of an satiable craving for more freedom and much lest the desire to pursue a better understanding of “freedom” itself. Like how we manipulate every turn and motion of our bicycles, I feel we equally desire to command our own lives as well. If only life were like riding a bicycle. We could bypass treacherous terrain, control our balance, and maneuver through difficult obstacles.
But what is freedom, really? I looked to the Bible for the answer and realized that only through His redemption are we truly free. I reflected upon Romans 3 when the author states that “All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God,” but only through His justification are we “free indeed.” I then looked back at human nature and discovered the means in which we frequently resort to to emulate freedom.
Control… individuality… belonging… speed… I saw a parallel between my interpretation of the bicycle culture and human nature’s desire for freedom. And so I became inspired to write a very metaphorical story in song-form to share my perspective of this revelation.
‘I guess in the end, even bikes have chains.’ “
